As a Travel Consultant and Itinerary Planner, I provide tailored and strategic guidance for your travel. Since 1999, I have led Stef’s Events with a focus on inspired Event Management across both professional and volunteer projects. Many of those years were spent designing exceptional vacation itineraries as a dedicated Family Travel Specialist, as well as several years planning corporate travel.
I am a Family Travel Specialist, and I specialize in Educational Travel. While I love planning Land/Sea Itineraries, I am adept at all types of travel planning, including FIT (Free Independent Travel - think road trips or multi-destination), guided or escorted tours, resort vacations, cruise only, land only, groups, weddings and honeymoons, as well as custom vacation packages.

Did you know.... the travel vendors often include TA commission in the published pricing? That means that MOST trips are planned with NO additional Travel Planning Fees! However, if there are components that are noncommissionable, we may charge a concierge fee to research and book that component. An a la carte Concierge Fee is $25, up to 10%, depending on the item, time and complexity involved.
(For example - your entire vacation is commissionable, but there is something special you want to do that is not. You would only pay an additional fee for that one item.)

A little more about your Travel Consultant, Stefanie...
Travel has been embedded in my soul since childhood. It was a priority with my mother, and we have made it a priority with our own children. While I do many types of travel planning, Family Travel really is the heart of my business! I specialize in Educational Travel. I enjoy creating itinerary plans that include lots of tours and excursions! As a homeschool mom, I truly believe that vacation = education, and the world is our classroom! I love history and culture, as well as nature. I work to create itineraries that are well balanced with lots of amazing destination activities, as well as enough time to rest and enjoy the area freely.
I also believe in making the logistics as simple as possible. Road trips and Free Independent Travel can be a blast when well planned out. I really love to plan those special itineraries for my clients, and myself! As an avid traveler, I have personally traveled 39 states, Hawaii included, and over 30 countries throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and North and Central America.
Remember, just because something is a "good deal," does not mean it is a great experience! Beware of offers that seem to good to be true! They often have hidden costs, limitations, exclusions, or are simply lower quality experiences.

So as to provide the best service for your unique travel planning needs, I may propose a small planning fee. Planning Fees are unique and are based on your custom itinerary, travel requests, destination(s), number of days, number of people or rooms, logistics involved, complexity, and/or other exceptional circumstances.
All fees will be quoted, agreed upon, and paid upfront before any Travel or Itinerary Planning is started.
A la Carte Concierge Service - $25, up to 10% of component cost
Basic Travel Planning - starts at $250 for a standard trip.
FIT and Luxury Travel Planning - starts at $500, or $100/day.
Highly-discounted Cruises/Resorts (Casino rates, etc) - starts at $100 per cabin/room.
Airline - starts at $45 per domestic ticket and $95 per international ticket.
VIP Concierge - starts at $35/hour or $225/day
Itinerary Planning - Consulting Only - starts at $350
My Best Service
These modest fees cover my time of planning, research, and curating your travel experience. They reflect the time, care, and expertise that go into planning, researching, and creating the best possible travel experience for you. I invest significant effort into every trip I design - from personalized support and problem solving to ongoing education, certifications, and destination training - so you receive exceptional service and up-to-date knowledge.
As an independent Travel Agent, I do not earn a salary or hourly wage. We are paid commission, but not all service vendors pay TA commissions, and some are negligible. Because of this, planning fees help ensure that my time, expertise, and service are fairly compensated. It’s also important to note that Travel Agents are not paid until after you travel - often 30–90 days later - even if your trip was planned many months (or a year) in advance. And of course, my goal is to work with clients who are genuinely ready to book and committed to the process, but that isn’t always the case. All agents have experienced situations where extensive research and multiple quotes were requested with no intention of booking through us. When someone uses our knowledge and then books elsewhere, or cancels at the last minute, we lose both the commission and the many hours invested - time that could have been spent supporting dedicated clients. Therefore, these small fees allow me the time to go above and beyond for my valued clients!

Travel Planning Fees are unique and are based on your custom itinerary, as well as the potential commission earned, or not, in some cases. Prices vary based on your unique travel requests, destination(s), number of days, number of people or rooms, logistics involved, complexity, and/or other unique circumstances.
Travel and Itinerary Planning Fees are all nonrefundable regardless of whether travel is actually booked, completed, interrupted, or cancelled.
